Leon County Schools Goes Pink on Friday, October 16
A District United in Hope, Strength, and Support
On Friday, October 16, Leon County Schools will turn pink as students, teachers, administrators, and staff across the district come together to honor cancer fighters, celebrate survivors, and remember those we have lost.LCS Go Pink Day is more than an opportunity to wear a color. It's a chance to show our school community that no one faces cancer alone.
To those who have battled cancer and emerged on the other side, your strength is an inspiration, your resilience is remarkable, and your story is a reminder that hope is powerful.
To those who are currently navigating a diagnosis, undergoing treatment, or facing an uncertain road ahead, we see your courage, we stand beside you, and we are cheering you on every step of the way. Some days are harder than others, and strength doesn't always mean having a smile on your face. Sometimes, simply showing up is an incredible victory.
And to the families, friends, caregivers, and medical professionals who provide unwavering support, we recognize the important role you play in every cancer journey.
This Friday, we encourage everyone across Leon County Schools to wear pink with purpose. Wear it for a survivor. Wear it for someone still fighting. Wear it in memory of someone you love.
Because behind every pink shirt is a story, a person, and a reminder that even the smallest gestures can make someone feel a little less alone.
