LCS Academic Services is pleased to announce our next steps in the K-12 English Language Arts instructional materials adoption process. For this adoption, LCS has requested the participation of all publishing companies that are listed on the FLDOE Adopted List as of August 6, 2026. For each participating publisher, a series of links will be posted to this dedicated webpage ‘LCS 2026-2027 K-12 English Language Arts Adoption’ where reviewers will find the public product preview links, pricing of packages, professional development plans, and other related publisher documents.

The process timeline will be as follows:
- September 14, 2026: 6-12 Committee training, materials review, publisher introductory presentations
- September 15, 2026: K-5 Committee training, materials review, publisher introductory presentations
- September 16-October 25, 2026: School sites review
- October 26, 2026: K-5 Committee review of curriculum presentations, professional development training schedule, and price bundling options.
- October 27, 2026: 6-12 Committee review of curriculum presentations, professional development training schedule, and price bundling options.
- October 28-December 4, 2026: School sites final review and site voting
- December 7-8, 2026: Committee Voting
- Jan-Feb. 2026: School Board Meeting (TBD) – Committee Recommendations and the official start to the statutorily required public review period of at least twenty (20) calendar days
- Jan.-Feb. 2026: School Board Meeting (TBD) – Public Hearing - Statutorily-required hearing for public comment or challenge
- Feb.-March 2026: School Board Meeting (TBD) - LCS School Board decision on adoption after considering the committee recommendation and the results of the public review and comment period.
