If ill with flu/cold/COVID symptoms, it is recommended to remain home until fever-free for 24 hours and symptoms have subsided or are improving. Contact your primary care provider for further guidance
CPR/First Aid/AED
Starting January 2024, all employees interested in registering for CPR, AED, First Aid training must email the Health Services Coordinator, Coco McClelland, to begin the pre-approval process for class date assignment. Email Coco at mcclellandc1@leonschools.net.
CPR/First Aid/AED training is held monthly and requires pre-registration.
Schools can hold a skills-only, non-certified CPR Press the Chest class at their school for interested staff. Reach out to Coco for more information.
Diabetes/Medication Administration Level 1 Training
This is a full day of training needed for clinical backups at every school. Registration is ongoing and can be completed through Leon Leads on the Leon County Schools Website / Professional Learning Opportunities.
Level 2 training on individual medical management plans for classroom care and field trips will be provided for staff by your school Registered Nurse. Contact your school's Registered Nurse for an appointment.
Vision/Hearing Screening Training
The following video clip demonstrates how to conduct vision/hearing screenings.
All orders for school clinic supplies must be approved and placed by the school's Registered Nurse or designee. Orders can be made online at Poss Medical. Directions are available at POSS Online Ordering Directions.
