  • Jennifer Powell Named 2017-18 Teacher of the Year!!

    Chiles High teacher Jennifer Powell has been named the 2017-18 Leon County Schools Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Powell has been a teacher at Lawton Chiles High School for the past two years and at Deerlake Middle School for the previous nine years.

    Tallahassee’s 9th annual "Wreaths Across America" event was held on Monday, December 4th, at the Florida State Capital. Wreaths Across America’s mission is to remember the men and women who served our country, to honor our military and their family’s, and teach our children about our freedom and those who protect it.
