What You’ll Do
Food Service Workers are an important part of the school team. Your responsibilities may include:
- Coordinate the preparation of food and help ensure meals are ready to serve
- Prepare, set up, and serve food to students and staff
- Follow safe food-handling and sanitation procedures
- Balance and close cash drawers or registers as assigned
- Clean the Central Kitchen and delivery equipment
- Operate cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Participate in appropriate in-service training and professional development
What You’ll Need
To be considered for this position, successful candidates must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of related work experience
This position also requires the ability to perform the physical duties of the job, including lifting, pulling, and pushing at least 5 pounds; reaching above the head; carrying objects; and maintaining balance while walking, standing, or crouching.
