The Leon County School Board will review the FLDOE-approved instructional materials for English Language Arts (ELA) K-12. In alignment with Florida Statute 1006.283, LCS is opening the review of these materials for public comment and challenge from February 1, 2023 until March 7, 2023. Opportunities for public comment will be made available at school board meetings held on February 14, 2023, and February 28, 2023. The statutorily required public hearing will be held on February 28, 2023, during the LCS board meeting. The February 28th meeting will also include school board member comment on the matter of this adoption. The school board vote on adoption will occur at the March 7, 2023 meeting.
