Instructional Technology

Mission Statement

  • To provide support and enhance the integration of technology into the teaching and learning process. We strive to work closely with educators, administrators, and students to promote the effective use of instructional technology tools and resources.

Overview

  • Leon County School’s one-to-one program involves providing each student with their own computer for educational purposes. The program aims to enhance learning by granting students easy access to digital resources, personalized learning experiences, and collaborative tools. By equipping each student with a dedicated device, our one-to-one program empowers students to engage actively in their education, develop digital literacy skills, and prepare for success in an increasingly technology-driven world. Our office strives to support this initiative.

Learning Approach

  • The instructional technology department uses a blended learning approach to integrate technology into instruction. Blended learning is a combination of online and face-to-face instruction that gives students some control over path, place, and pace. Benefits of blended learning include increased student engagement, expanded opportunities for differentiation, and improved flexibility for teachers to create rich learning environments.
