Overview / About F.I.T.

  • FIT Logo If you lost your housing due to economic hardship, natural disaster, or other similar reason, and are living temporarily with friends or relatives, or in shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground; or on the street; in an abandoned building, then you are eligible to receive services provided under the McKinney-Vento Act.  The Families in Transition Program offered through Leon County Schools can help you connect with services to help you through this difficult time.

If you are not personally impacted by economic hardship, but know someone that is, please share this information with them so we can help.  If you have any additional questions please contact Jessica Lowe by telephone  at (850) 561-8971 or by email lowej@leonschools.net .
