  • Carnival and Silent Auction

Mark your calendar now to join us for the Canopy Oaks Carnival and Silent Auction on Friday, March 2nd from 5:30 - 8:30.  There will be games, bouncers, food, photo booth and much more!  It will be fun for the entire family.

We are still in need of many volunteers.  If you haven't signed up, you may do so at  We need 70 volunteers per timeslot.  That's 280 volunteers needed to make the carnival a success!  Don't forget to fill out your volunteer form online if you haven't already done so this year.  Go to, scroll down to FORMS & DOCUMENTS on the right side of the screen, and click on Volunteer Application Form.  If we don't have volunteers, we will not be able to have all the booths.  We are also in need of donations of canned sodas or juices for the Ring the Soda booth.  Tickets will be sold at the beginning of the carnival.

So bring family and friends for fun evening!

  • No Reports of Credible Threats to Any LCS School

We understand that many of our parents and students have seen posts on Instagram with a “screen shot” claiming that our schools have received threats. This screen grab is from a Tallahassee Democrat article from January 25, 2016. Our schools are among the safest places in our community and we have received NO credible threats to our campuses. We will continue to do what we can to improve, but we need your help in stopping the spread of rumors.

  • Business Leaders Act as Principal in Local Schools

Community business leaders saw, first-hand, that LCS Principals rarely have the opportunity to sit down during a typical school day! By acting a "Principal for the Day" the business leaders were able to meet students, see donations at work and identify needs within our local schools.
