    Meet Zariah Tucker, a second grader at Sealey Elementary. Her stage name is “Rapper Z” and she wrote an original rap encouraging students to meet their AR Goal. Check out her music video.

  • Reading & Math Pals at Hawks Rise (VIDEO)

    Hawks Rise Elementary School students have Reading and Math Pals thanks to the United Way of the Big Bend. The program pairs mentors with students who need individual attention in math and reading. Students love the friendship and one on one support after school.

    January 27 - 31 is Literacy Week!

    Monday: "Score with a great book" - wear your favorite sports team gear

    Tuesday: "Reading Rocks!!!" - dress up like a rock star

    Wednesday: (student choice) "Flashlight Reading" - bring a flashlight to school and read in the dark

    Thursday: "Hats off to reading" - wear a hat to school

    Friday: "Book Character Day!" - dress up as your favorite book character

    * Please remember all clothing needs to be within the dress code.
