Assessing students and monitoring their progress is an important part of what we do in the Department of School Improvement, Accountability and Testing. The Florida State Board of Education approved the Florida Standards in Mathematics and English Language Arts in February 2014. Those standards have been fully implemented in grades K-12. In 2014-15, we began administering the associated statewide assessments to help us measure our students’ progress on these standards. In 2024-25, we will continue to administer these assessments and understand that parents, students, and the school community may have questions.
