Title III Services to Public and Private Schools

Title III, Part A
Leon County Schools receive supplementary funding from the Federal government through Title III, Part A for our ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) program and for recently-arrived immigrant children and youth.
The grant supports services such as:
ESOL paraprofessionals at schools with high populations of English Language Learners (ELLs) and /or immigrant students.
Professional Learning for teachers and paraprofessionals on ESOL strategies to use with ELLs.
Parent outreach through our Parent Leadership Council.
Supplementary materials for language learning.
School supplies for immigrant students.
Resources for parents of immigrant students – guides to the US and Leon County Schools; brochures on helping children and working with schools, parent involvement in learning.
Enrichment activities for immigrant students, such as community field trips.
Academic support and services to qualified non-public schools based on the needs of identified ELL/Immigrant students.
