WIDA/ACCESS for ELLs

WIDA is a consortium of 28 states working out of the University of Wisconsin. WIDA developed a framework to support academic language development and content area learning for ELLs. The framework includes the WIDA ELD standards and the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0. Florida has adopted the WIDA ELD standards as the state’s English language proficiency framework, and the ACCESS for ELLs 2.0 as the state-mandated annual English proficiency assessment.
