Announcing 2017 Spring Enrollment Opportunity

    The Tallahassee Area Coalition Center of Excellence in partnership with Leon County Schools, announces its Spring 2017 National Achievers/Believers Society Induction. The Induction date is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2017. The application period is April 1st  – May 15th. Applications will also be sent out via the Leon County Schools District Electronic Mail System (email). Students in grades 1st – 11th enrolled in Public, Private or Charter Schools located in Leon, Gadsden, or Jefferson Counties are eligible to apply.      Do you know of any female high school juniors or seniors (upcoming school year) that would be interested in participating in the Junior League of Tallahassee's Teen Board?  The Teen Board applications for next year are due back by Friday, April 28th. Black History Brain Bowl

    This is a reminder about the ANNUAL BLACK HISTORY BRAIN BOWL COMPETITION being held Saturday, February 13, 2016

    All achievers/believers attending will receive extra participation points.

    You are also reminded that we are scheduled to visit the "Kinsey African
    American Art Collection," that is now housed in the Foster Tanner Building
    on the FAMU Campus.


    Additionally, you are encouraged to come prepared to purchase lunch at the
    Chick-fil-A Restaurant, located on the FAMU Campus.

Monthly Meeting and Black History Celebration

  • Good Afternoon COE/NAS Family,

    Attached is the announcement about our Annual Black History Celebration

     During the program we will recognize our Achievers and Believers who made all A and All A/B Honor Roll.  The deadline to receive report cards was February 5th

    All Achiever inducted during the December 2015 Induction will receive their SHINY BLACK JACKETS.  We also will celebrate our recent honor of being recognized in the 2016 Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar.  I will have calendars on hand to share with the COE Family.

     3rd Quarter Community Service Project – Please bring at least one case of bottled water to donate to the citizens of Flint, Michigan.  This water will be shipped to Flint, Michigan the 2nd week of March.

    We will collect cases of water starting February 16th thru March 11th.
