Pineview Elementary School Earns Recognition for Outstanding Student Achievement
Tallahassee, FL – A spirit of perseverance and excellence has earned Pineview Elementary a coveted spot among Florida’s top-performing schools. The school has been named a 2025 Exceeding Expectations Award School, a distinction given to institutions that demonstrate remarkable academic progress despite economic challenges.
The award, presented by the East Coast Technical Assistance Center (ECTAC), recognizes schools that have made significant strides in student achievement and learning gains. Out of more than 3,400 schools evaluated, only 43 were selected for the honor, making Pineview’s recognition an impressive feat.
“At Pineview, we don’t just meet expectations—we exceed them. Our success is more than a milestone; it’s the fuel that propels our students toward a limitless future,” said Carmen Conner, Principal of Pineview.
The selection process was rigorous, taking into account school grades, learning gains, and achievement among economically disadvantaged students. Schools were also required to submit a School Success Story Presentation, showcasing their strategies and efforts in ensuring student success.
ECTAC Director Maria Longa praised the recognized schools, stating, “While the data highlights their success, it’s their inspiring stories of commitment and innovation that truly set them apart.”
The awardees, including Pineview Elementary, will be celebrated at the Exceeding Expectations Conference in Orlando from June 18-20, 2025. The event brings together educators from across the state to share best practices, hear from renowned speakers, and discuss strategies to further student success.
With this honor, Pineview joins an elite group of schools that have exceeded expectations, proving that dedication and strong leadership can overcome obstacles. As the school community celebrates this achievement, the focus remains on continuing to inspire, educate, and empower every student to reach their full potential.
