The resources below are to help our parents and students continue to have access to Health and Mental wellness services they need or were already receiving through the school. Even though school may not be in session due to the current crisis, the resources below are still available through phone and Telemedicine communications.
DISC Village
DISC Village is an organization that has a mission to promote the well being of individuals, families, and those with they are closely associated who are adversely affected by alochol and other drug abuse, crime, behavior problems, and mental health disorders. Leon County Schools is fortunate to have this organization as a partner involved in our schools.
By the end of the week all DISC Village Health and Wellness Specialists working with our students will have virtual liscenses allowing them to cocduct virtual services for all students they were seeing in their respective schools.
A Virtual Service can be scheduled either by a link on the DISC Village website or through a phone call in number if there is no internet or computer access. There is an option to select a specific specialist.
The services used is Let's Talk with is a tele-health software company. The software is HIPPA compliant and sessions are documented.
Specialists will be contacting all students on their caseload startint next week to advise them of this service and how to use it. This program will be available until the end of the school year.

information & referrals. You do not have to be in crisis to call, there is no eligibility
