After State Testing
After state testing, students and parents can access their child(ren) testing results through the LCS FOCUS Parent Portal. The results may be available during the summer of 2026 or sooner.
Please reach out to the LCS Home Education Office for assistance regarding your FOCUS Parent Portal registration information if you do not have a FOCUS Parent Portal already set up.
An access code will be sent to the parents and students in the testing registration letter.

Day of State Testing
All home-educated students participating in State Testing at their Leon County home-zoned school must arrive 15 minutes before the arranged testing time (in the front office).
All Home Educated students must provide their own transportation to and from the testing site each day.
If any home-educated student shows up at a school without completing the registration requirements and a testing appointment with the zoned school confirmation, the student will not be tested and must wait until the next testing window opens.

Preparing For Florida Assessment Of Student Thinking (FAST)
The State of Florida assessments are offered in a computer-based format unless the student has a valid IEP/504 plan stating that the student must take a paper-based assessment.
All students can complete an online practice test to prepare for online testing. This will familiarize the student with the assessment layout and item types. The FAST practice material can be accessed using the link below.
