Fingerprinting for Re-certification

  • All teachers who are re-certifying are eligible to be fingerprinted effective July 1, 2007

There is no cost, and we are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

All teachers need to wait for their year of re-certification. If you do not re-certify until a later year, then please wait until that particular timeframe.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at (850) 487-7117. We are currently fingerprinting those teachers who are renewing their teaching certification for June, 2008.

How long does the process take?
The turn around time from FDLE who processes the fingerprints is approximately 24-48 hours. However, the process at this point could take up to six weeks until approval is met for the level two background check from FDLE required by state statute.

We do not process any re-certification paperwork here in the Office of Safety, Security and Emergency Management. Please contact Jean Scott (850) 487-7205 or Personnel Services (850) 487-7110 with questions about re-certification.
