    Treat Trolley

    Throughout the school year, students have an opportunity to earn tickets to use on the Treat Trolley. The last Friday of the month, the Treat Trolley is rolled out during lunch for students to exchange their tickets. The trolley is full of candy, spirit items, gel pens, notepads, fidget games and other items! 

    Report Card Celebrations

    Students who earn Straight A's receive 5 Treat Trolley tickets.

    Students who earn the A/B Honor Roll receive 3 Treat Trolley tickets.

    Students who bring their GRADES UP! from one nine weeks to the next receive 3 Treat Trolley tickets.

    Positive Behaviors

    At Montford, we recognize the importance of a positive learning environment when it comes to overall student achievement and academic success.  Through our PBIS program we implement campus wide activities, recognitions, and reward systems that facilitates the awareness and encouragement of our students making positive behavior choices.  By using a digital application system, faculty and staff are able to recognize individual student actions in real time by awarding points as positive behavior choices are made.  These choices fall under the following categories, “Motto Mindfulness” (being respectful, responsible and safe), being prepared, staying on task, showing perseverance and participating in class while working well with others through teamwork.    Students and their families are notified as these points are awarded and can track their accumulation of points over time.  Every month students are awarded one treat trolley ticket for every 5 points they earned.  They are able to use these during our treat trolley days, enabling an exchange of tickets for an al carte of treat choices provided by our PTSO.  

    Mighty Mustang Award

    We have monthly recognitions of students by grade level whom accumulated the most points for each of our positive behavior categories that our program tracks. This is our Mighty Mustang recognition. Mighty Mustang recipients not only are recognized by our administration on the school news, receiving a plaque, but also provide campus mentorship through a writing reflection which shares their experience as a student making positive behavior choices.  Our Mighty Mustangs are awarded treat trolley tickets and a Mighty Mustang wristband, a spirit item they can proudly wear representing their contribution to upholding our school’s positive climate.  Through our newly formed Mighty Mustang club, these students are provided the opportunity to take their recognition and further it into a leadership opportunity by being part of a team that plans and facilitates campus activities promoting positivity and unity of students, exemplifying what it truly means to be a part of the Mustang family.
