Math Competition Information

  • Montford Middle School students have the opportunity to participate in many math activities. We love to show off our great math students and program. The Math Competitions Club meets every Wednesday at 8:45 in room 7-110.

    Mu Alpha Theta

Mu Alpha Theta is a state and national high school math club. Middle school students are not allowed to be members of Mu Alpha Theta but are allowed to participate in the contests sponsored by MAΘ if they are taking high school credit math classes such as Algebra I and Geometry. The Florida Association of Mu Alpha Thetas (FAMAT) sponsors six contests during January, February, and March.

    • Most of these contests involve travel.
    • There will be registration and travel costs.
