    CEREMONY:

    When: Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10AM

    Where: the Montford Gym

    Doors will open at 9am. Since there is limited space, we are asking to please attempt to limit it to 2 guests per student. To accommodate everyone, please get there early and sit close together. There will be a designated area for handicapped access. 

    After the ceremony, many students choose to go home for the rest of the day. If you plan on taking your student after the reception ends, please fill out the excuse form and return it by Friday May 6th to the front office.  Excuse Form (This form will be distributed to students this week.)

    The excuse form is due by May 6th.

    Attire: Students tend to dress up for this event. Please keep in mind, the school dress code still applies.

  • 2021-22 8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip

    Date: March 7-11, 2022  Contact: Andrew Keltner
    Location: Washington, D.C., Luray Caverns (Va.), and Monticello (Va.)
    Cost: $940 student/quad
    Payments:

    • During Registration: 1st Deposit of $300.00 due/per person
    • Dec 10, 2021: 2nd Deposit of $320.00 due/per person
    • Feb 11, 2022: Final Payment of $320.00 due/per person


    Description: Montford's annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., Luray Caverns, and Monticello will occur March 7-11, 2022. This is the week immediately before spring break. All 8th graders are invited as long as they remain a student in good standing in regards to the behavior and academic requirements discussed at the 8th grade assembly the first week of school. The all-inclusive price for the trip is $940. This includes motor coach transportation with Annett Bus Lines, hotel accommodations at Holiday Inn Express in Springfield, Va., all admissions, Potomac River Dinner/Dance Cruise, all meals, guided tours, nighttime security, and gratuities for drivers and guides. All payments will be made online or by phone directly to Educational Tours. Our contact person at Educational Tours is Brian Lattin or Brad Lattin at 1-800-343-9003. An itinerary and the online payment registration instructions for the trip are available below. An informational (optional) meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9th at 7 pm in the cafeteria.  It shouldn't last more than 20-30 minutes.  DATE CHANGE:  A mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 28, 2022 to go over the particulars for those participating.

    Eligibility: To qualify to attend this field trip, students must have:

    • Registered with Educational Tours;
    • No more than one (1) in-school detention assignment (OFI) since the beginning of the current school year;
    • No out-of-school suspensions since the beginning of the current school year;
    • No 1's in citizenship on the second quarter report card;
    • No more than one (1) 2 in citizenship on the second quarter report card.
    • 2.0 GPA on second quarter report card.
