Seating is first come first serve and the doors will open at 9am. Because there is limited seating, we ask that students limit their guests to 2. Students will arrive to school at their normal time and proceed to 1st period. After the ceremony, the 8th graders are more than welcome to leave with their parents. . Please note that the students are to follow Montford’s dress code on the day of the ceremony.
During the ceremony, there will be a slideshow of the 8th graders throughout their 3 years at Montford.

2020 8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip
Date: March 9-13, 2020 Contact: Andrew Keltner
Location: Washington, D.C., Luray Caverns (Va.), and Monticello (Va.)
Cost: $915 student/quad
- During Registration: 1st Deposit of $250.00 due/per person
- Nov. 15, 2019: 2nd Deposit of $332.50 due/per person
- Jan. 17, 2020: Final Payment of $332.50 due/per person
Description: Montford's annual 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C., Luray Caverns, and Monticello will occur March 9-13, 2020. This is the week immediately before spring break. All 8th graders are invited as long as they remain a student in good standing in regards to the behavior and academic requirements discussed at the 8th grade assembly the first week of school. The all-inclusive price for the trip is $915. This includes motor coach transportation with Annett Bus Lines, hotel accommodations at Country Inn and Suites in Woodbridge, Va., all admissions, Potomac River Dinner/Dance Cruise, all meals, guided tours, nighttime security with off-duty local law enforcement officers, and gratuities for drivers and guides. All payments will be made online or by phone directly to Educational Tours. Our contact person at Educational Tours is Carol Muscatella at 1-800-343-9003. An itinerary and the online payment registration instructions for the trip are available below. An informational (optional) meeting will be held on Monday, August 26th at 7 pm in the cafeteria. It shouldn't last more than 20-30 minutes. A mandatory parent meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2020 to go over the particulars for those participating.
We have reserved 3 buses and enough hotel rooms to accommodate 134 students.Please register online and make your first payment to guarantee your spot. Unneeded buses and rooms will be released the first week of October. Last year there was a waiting list, so don't delay in securing your spot.
