**For science I encourage the students to have an extra binder at home. All assignments I send home are hole punched and they can go in the binder when we are done with them here in class. That way the students can use those old assignments for review when the time comes at the end of the year. I DO NOT recommend just throwing those old assignments away until the school year is over.**
Extra Credit Opportunities:
- **NEW**Tallahassee Science Festival! (click to learn more) on September 30th @ Kleman Plaza from 10am - 2pm.
If students attend the festival and can bring in an artifact from the event, I will add 5 points to the student's lowest science test grade of the nine weeks.
2. *Read a science related current events news article and then write about it.
-What to include: A copy of the article, a summary of the article, what you learned, and how it relates to what we have learned in class or how it relates to something we will be learning in class. This should be no less than one page hand written or half/three fourths of a page typed.
3. *Read a science non-fiction AR book and write a brief summary about it, and what you learned.
-This should be no less than one page hand written or half/three fourths of a page typed. The student should also take an AR test on the book.
*Students can submit up to two extra credit assignments every nine weeks*
*By doing this it will help you earn up to 5 points extra credit towards the lowest test grade every nine weeks.
