HAWKS RISE STUDENTS ARE SPREADING THE “JOY”
Autumn is a time when many families gather to share good food and good cheer. This November, students at Hawks Rise are invited to spread joy by donating non-perishable food items to the Salvation Army’s Project Joy Food Drive. Donations collected during the drive will be distributed to needy families in our area, ensuring that they can enjoy this time of celebration and togetherness.
Students, please bring your food donations to the cafeteria beginning on Monday, November 13th and ending on Friday, November 17th. Let’s see how high we can stack our cans and boxes!

Hawks Rise Elementary School wants to promote literacy and
the love of reading by building a free book exchange, called a Little Free
Library. It is located at Mt. Pisgah AME Church, 256 Fairbanks Ferry Road, Tallahassee, FL.
After working for months with the school’s art teacher, Makayla Shaw has turned from a shy outsider to sharing her artistic talents with her student peers. Susan Balding from VSA Florida was on hand to present Makayla with the student of the month award.
Throughout the year, students at Fairview enjoy Jazz during lunch, played by their own peers! This Thursday, November 16th, you can see what it's all about! The Fairview Jazz Band, along with the RHS Jazz band, Leon Jazz Band, The Good Little Chickens & more, will perform in the courtyard from 6-8pm. Fans should bring lawn chairs, a picnic dinner & enjoy the music under the open sky.
Superintendent Hanna would like to wish you and your family Happy Thanksgiving. LCS Employees are some of the most giving people in the world.
