Math:
**For math, I encourage students to have an extra binder at home. All the assignments I send home will be hole punched, and they can go in the binder when we are done with that chapter here in class. That way, the students can use those old assignments for review when the time comes at the end of the year. I DO NOT recommend just throwing those old assignments away until the school year is over.**
*Be sure to check the gradebook regularly for your child's grade and ask them how they're doing.
We are currently working on Chapter 14: Classifying Two and Three-Dimensional Figures
*Each chapter below has online resources, including the student edition textbook. This year the student edition also includes the practice book/homework pages (in case your child "forgets" it at school, you can print a new one from here). This can all be accessed on the "Ed" tile on ClassLink.
*Was your child absent? Are they still having a tough time with a particular lesson? Want to review for a test?If so, check out the video links below for a video math lesson that goes along with the corresponding lesson...CH 1: Understanding Multiplication and Division of Whole NumbersCH 2: Practice Multiplication and Division of Whole NumbersCH 3: Place Value and DecimalsLesson 3.3CH 4: Add and Subtract DecimalsLesson 4.2CH 5: Multiplying Decimals and Whole NumbersCH 6: Multiplying DecimalsLesson 6.4CH 7: Divide DecimalsLesson 7.1CH 8: Add and Subtract Fractions with Unlike DenominatorsCH 9: Add and Subtract Fractions and Mixed Numbers with Unlike DenominatorsCH 12: Algebra: ExpressionsCH 13: Perimeter and Area of Rectangles with Fractional and Decimal Side LengthsLesson 13.1Lesson 13.2CH 14: Classify Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional FiguresLesson 14.1CH 15: VolumeCH 16: Convert Units of MeasureCH 17: Graphs and PatternsLesson 17.1Lesson 17.2Lesson 17.3Lesson 17.4Lesson 17.7CH 18: Collect, Represent, and Interpret DataLesson 18.1Lesson 18.2Lesson 18.3Lesson 18.4Lesson 18.5
