Hello and thank you for visiting my page!  I am a school counselor in the Guidance Department at Hawks Rise Elementary School (HRES.)  I have a degree in Counseling and Human Systems, specializing in School Counseling, from Florida State University, and have worked with students of all ages, from kindergarten little ones to adult learners.  I joined the staff at Hawks Rise in 2014 and am so happy to be part of this wonderful school.  Go Hawks!

My roles at HRES include:

ESOL Coordinator--assisting students and their families who are non-native-English speakers

Guidance Teacher--teaching a daily guidance lesson to first and second graders this year

PBIS Champion--helping everyone at HRES know and follow the positive behavior steps and procedures

Mentor Coordinator--working with teachers and the community to connect our students with supportive and encouraging mentors

Student Counselor--guiding our young learners to success in school both academically and socially

DCF Contact--serving as primary contact for Child Protective Investigators as they work to ensure the safety of our students

Homeless/In Transition Contact--serving as primary contact and link to services for our families who are homeless or in transition
