CAPITAL CHILDREN’S CHOIR (FSU) - Link to website (More info)
A community outreach program for children in Kindergarten through Eighth grade which is sponsored by the College of Music at Florida State University.
Specifically, children in the choir will learn how to:
- sing using healthy vocal technique and posture
- prepare to sing using age-appropriate vocal and physical warm-ups
- use solfege and Curwen hand signs to understand music
- sing a variety of music styles in English
- sing world music selections in several other languages
There are no auditions and no music reading skills needed to participate. Everyone who comes to sing is welcome!

Amazing Fun For Beginning Musicians
Designed to help children develop a life-long love of music, this unique day camp brings all of the experience and excitement that is the cornerstone of the FSU Summer Music Camps to the youngest members of our community.Camp Schedule & Final Performance
Regular camp activities take place from Monday, June 9 – Thursday, June 12 from 8:00am – 4:15pm*
On Friday, June 13, campers will arrive at 8:00am, and camp will conclude with a final performance in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall at 10:30am. Families are encouraged to attend, and campers will depart after the performance is over (approx. 11:00am).
*(AM Drop-off begins at 7:45 and activities begin promptly at 8:00am. PM Pick-up takes place from 4:15-4:45).
