Mrs. Collins

Hello families!  My name is Natalie Collins.  I am happy to have your child in my class.  Allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I attended the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  In 2003, I began my teaching career in Orlando.  I taught there for five years in second grade and kindergarten.  In 2008 I married my wonderful husband, and we moved to North Florida.  I taught first and second grade for three years here.  My son, Ryan, was born in 2011.   In 2012 I decided to work part time at Advent Parrish Day School so I could teach at his school.  I remained at Advent teaching preschool until daughter, Lauren, graduated in 2019.  I took the year off from teaching for the 2019-2020 school year to volunteer at Hawks Rise and spend time with my family.   I joined the Hawks Rise family in 2020, teaching first grade and could not be happier here!

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, jogging, and boating.  I am the proud mother of a fourth grader and a second grader that attend school at Hawks Rise.  I have four fur babies at home...a Boston Terrier named Tucker, a Lab named Cooper, a gerbil named Mr. Pineapples, and a hamster named Asher.  I am looking forward to coaching Girls on the Run along with Mrs. Seymour this year for Hawks Rise girls in grades 3-5.

First grade is full of learning, exploring, and FUN!   My goal this year is that EVERY child will work to his/her full potential.  I will do my best to provide a positive learning environment by providing materials and supplies to meet your child's needs.  I believe communication is the key to success.  Please feel free to email or call if you have any questions or concerns.

I look forward to working with you children and families!
