Ms. Amy Booher
I am Ms. Booher and I am an ESE teacher at Hawks Rise Elementary. I am from Plant City, FL and I have an older brother and a fraternal twin sister! My brother is in the United States Coast Guard and my sister is also an elementary school teacher in the Orlando area.
I graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Special Education and a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have known I wanted to be an ESE teacher since I was in 9th grade after my interactions with the ESE students at my school. My interactions with the students brought me joy and a sense of purpose. I am passionate about what I do and I am lucky to get to learn with each of my students.
I have a dog named Pogo and she loves to chase cats and lay on the couch!
