Hello!  My name is Gina Hendrick and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year. This is my 30th year of teaching,19th year in Kindergarten, and my third year at Hawks Rise. I have spent my career as a teacher, an Early Literacy Coach, and a District Early Childhood Curriculum Coach. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education at the University of North Florida and I'm certified in Primary Education (K-3), Elementary Education (1-6) and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

My husband Carl and I moved to Thomasville, Georgia in 2017.  I have two daughters, Tia (25) and Breanne (22) and Carl has three children, Dean (31), Kyle(29), and Kaylen(27). 

I enjoy traveling, eating and going to the beach!

 I am truly excited to teach your children this year! My goal as a Kindergarten teacher is to create a caring community of learners who love to be at school. I will encourage discovery and self-directed exploration so that the children are engaged and excited about learning.  Immersion in literature, cultivating creativity, respect of diversity, and freedom to explore help develop lifelong learners. You will be amazed at how much your children will learn this year and I am looking forward to having a fantastic year!
