Dear Parents,

Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Maryanne Smiley. I am exited to to be teaching your child this year. This is my 31st year of teaching, 19th at Hawks Rise (Prekindergarten and Kindergarten). I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University and Masters in Early Childhood from Florida State University. I am certified to teach both Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education.  

I am really looking forward to getting to know your families throughout the year. I hope you are ready to embark on an important milestone in your child's life. Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement, interest and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for your child. I am excited about having another fantastic year in kindergarten!
