FEV Tutor offers flexible homework and coursework help options to help fit tutoring into our students’ busy schedule.
- Scheduled homework/coursework help sessions are offered Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 10:00 pm and on weekends. You can schedule a session with a tutor by clicking here: Scheduling Form.
- Students can also request an On-Demand session for homework help at any time 24/7by logging into Classlink and selecting the FEV Tutor tile to get started.
Homework and coursework help are student-driven! Our students will tell their tutor what they need assistance in by screen sharing, uploading, or emailing our support team. If students make an appointment for tutoring style help, they can upload their work ahead of time. Tutors do not have access to student homework or coursework unless it is shared with them by the student. All help sessions are recorded.

Tallahassee Future Leaders Academy (TFLA)
The City of Tallahassee currently has summer job openings for the Tallahassee Future Leaders Academy (TFLA)
TFLA hires local high school students finishing their Freshman – Senior year of high school who live in Tallahassee to work part time for 9 weeks (20 or 25 hours / week) this summer for the City, earning and learning in a variety of areas. It is an opportunity to gain work experience, visit college campuses, develop financial literacy, grow knowledge of how to impact our community, and expand leadership skills – all while earning a paycheck and gaining new professional connections (helpful for both job and scholarship/college recommendations).
Applications are open now through April 22, for both TFLA Youth Leader (Job ID 181823) and TFLA Youth Ambassador (Job ID 181822 - requires at least one prior year working for TFLA) positions through the City of Tallahassee’s employment website:
(search for the position using the title and/or job ID included): https://cotjobs.psft.talgov.com/psc/aplyonl/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_SCHJOB&Action=U&FOCUS=Applicant&SiteId=1
After completing the City of Tallahassee application, teens will then complete the TFLA Supplemental Application here:

All applicants and their parent/guardian must attend one of the scheduled TFLA Youth/Family Info Session to learn more about how TFLA will operate this summer, what documents are required for hiring, and to meet some of the City’s TFLA staff that they will work with, if hired. Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship Program
The Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity for Leon County high school juniors/seniors to prepare for a skilled career – those jobs requiring more than a high school diploma, but less than a four-year degree. By the year 2025, over 68,000 skilled jobs will be available in the Leon County area. To prepare students to fill these jobs, Leon County Government is partnering with CareerSource Capital Region and Leon County Schools to provide students with job readiness training and work experience!
For one semester, selected students will work in a Leon County department as a Junior Apprentice shadowing and assisting a County staff member in a skilled career field that the student is interested in pursuing. Junior Apprentices will also complete CareerSource Capital Region’s Dynamic Futures training to prepare them for entering the workforce after graduation. In addition to gaining valuable work experience and training, Junior Apprentices earn an hourly salary and elective credit toward their high school diploma.

- Ask your student to log into Canvas.
- Once in, look at the vertical navigation bar on the left side of the screen and click on "Account" at the top.
- Click on "Settings" from the pop out menu.
- Once in Settings, there will be a button that says "Pair with an observer" on the right;
- Click on it and copy the code.
- Open a new tab and go to https://leonschools.instructure.com/login/canvas, then select the very tiny link for "Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here For an Account" in the upper right-hand corner.
- Fill in your name, email, and password and then paste the code you received from Canvas into the last textbox.
- You're done! Once you have the computer account set up, you can add the Canvas Parent app to your phone in no time. This will enable you to see your child's agendas in all classes ("Calendar" link) and ensure all work is completed/submitted ("Grades" tab) on the fly. Be advised that Focus is the place to see your child's official grades, but Canvas is the best way to see "why."
All our best,
