• Welcome to Culinary Arts 1 (Period 6), Culinary Arts 2 (Periods 2, 3, & 5) & Culinary Arts 3 (Period 4)!
     
    Students will be using the National Restaurant Association ProStart Curriculum and there are 3 main components to the instruction:  
    They are:
    1. Text - We utilize the Foundations of Restaurant Management & Culinary Arts, Level ONE & Level TWO 2nd Edition.
    2. PowerPoint/Video/Guest Speaker - At times I will use PowerPoint presentations, videos, and guest speakers to emphasize the information presented in our textbook, in order to provide a more in depth knowledge base to the topics at hand.
    3. Kitchen Labs - Practical demonstration and evaluation will take place in our classroom kitchens.  In addition to the labs that will highlight units covered in the textbooks, the Culinary Arts 3 class will be completing catering jobs and Culinary Arts 2 will be providing support to those catering jobs through prep work.
