    WELCOME TO LEON HIGH SCHOOL! IT'S GREAT TO BE A LION!!

     

    And welcome to my English I/English I Honors class! Many of us may be anxious to come back to school for one reason or another but I am truly excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year. As the start of the school year approaches, you will gain access to Classlink and your class CANVAS platform. Classlink is your hub for all things available to you from the district, and Canvas is a platform that we will use as a hub for assignments, handouts, etc. Canvas will be open for students starting this Wednesday, however, there may be changes between then and next week as I am familiarizing myself with the platform.

    To be ready for Monday, all students should make sure they can log into Classlink so that you can access Focus, Canvas, and Office 365.  If you have log-in issues, please call the school at 617-5700.  Each and everyone of us will need to log in and be ready to begin our school year on Monday morning at 7:30 am.

    You should also know that students will still be required to have the materials from the supply list even though a lot of the curriculum will be accessed digitally. This year will look a lot different in regards to not having the freedom to share classroom materials. Each student will need these materials to stay organized, participate in instruction, and complete assignments. It is best to have most of these supplies by the start of school (Monday, 8.31.2020), but I am aware of and understand the limitations of getting some of the items.

    • No. 2 Pencils
    • Black/Blue Ink
    • Different colored highlighters
    • Individual tissue packs for personal use (B&M students)
    • Individual hand sanitizer for personal use B&M students)
    • extra mask (B&M students)
    • water bottle (B&M students)

    *Please feel free to donate any hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, etc. for class use.*
