Greetings Falcons!
It is My Esteemed Pleasure to Serve As Your Assistant Principal! I Have Been An Educator For Twenty Years. Twelve of Those Years Were In Middle School. It Feels Good to Be Home!
During My Twenty-Year Tenure With Leon County Schools, I Have Served in Several Different Capacities. For the Past Ten Years I have Been an Assistant Principal, Three Years at Fairview, Six Years at Gretchen Everhart and One Year at PACE. Prior to That, I Was the Dean of Students, Magnet Coordinator and Reading Instructor at Griffin Middle School; Dean of Students and Social Studies Instructor at Fort Braden School; ESE Instructor at Belle Vue Middle School; and Last But Not Least, My Very First Teaching Position at My Alma Mater, James S Rickards High School as an ESE Instructor.
I am a Proud Alumna of THE Florida A & M University, Where I Obtained a B.S in Economics. I Also Hold a M.B.A and an Educational Specialist Degree From Nova Southeastern University. I am Currently Certified in ESE K-12, School Principal K-12, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum 5-9, and I Am Reading Endorsed.
As Much as I Love Serving as an Educator, My Greatest Accomplishment is Being a Mother. I Have Two Daughters, Chloe and Camille Montgomery. The Same Expectations and Desires I Have For Them as They Matriculate Through Leon County Schools, Are the Same Ones I Have For the Students That I Serve and the Educators That I Lead. I am Grateful to Be a Part of This Journey and Look Forward to the Milestones We Make and Celebrations We Have!
Let's Go Falcons!
