The International Baccalaureate Preparatory (IB Prep) Magnet Program is an advanced program of study designed to enhance the educational experience of students in the traditional curriculum areas while developing an appreciation for the human race, our planet's health and social environment, and man's effect upon our world.

Students in the IB Prep Magnet may earn up to eight high school credits recognized throughout the state, prior to enrolling in high school. These credits can be earned in the areas of Algebra I Honors, Geometry Honors, Physical Science Honors, Biology Honors, Spanish I & II Honors, French I & II Honors, Chinese I & II, and Computer Coding I & II. Our program is designed to prepare students for the International Baccalaureate Program or any advanced placement/honors program at the high school level.

Students who accept the challenge of becoming an IB Prep student should meet the minimum requirements of scoring at or above a level 4 on the FSA, achieve higher than average grades, and exhibit outstanding citizenship. Each IB Prep student is required to complete an application, which includes a writing sample, teacher recommendation form, documentation of grades and documentation of test scores. When accepting students into the IB Prep program, we look at the whole child. If you are wondering if our program would be a good fit for your child, reach out to us, and we can help you determine if IB Prep is the best option for your child’s middle school experience.
