ms. katie summerlin has been at leon high since 2017. she teaches english 2 and english 2 honors and sponsors the anime club. a native to tallahassee, ms. summerlin graduated from james s. rickards high school with an international baccalaureate diploma. ms. summerlin received bachelor's degrees from florida state university in english and interdisciplinary social science. ms. summerlin is the mother of an eleventh grader and an english springer spaniel. she enjoys reading many different types of books and writing in her free time.
