Science Experiment Workshop for Hispanic Parents
Wednesday, January 30, 2008
6pm
Leon County Public Library
Presented by Maria Mena, Youth Services Coordinator
This year, Ms Mena graciously agreed again to conduct her science experiment workshop for Hispanic parents. We again conducted the workshop at the downtown branch of the Leon County Public Library. Three families attended this workshop. After Ms Mena's powerpoint presentation on how to help your child conduct a science experiment for the Science Fair, she demonstrated a variety of resources to help families do research on the internet or in the community. Afterwards, she gave a general tour of the library where Spanish-language materials are available. She also generously gave out door prizes.
I would like to thank the following parents who attended this workshop:
Ms Aldaz, Ms Rodriguez, Mr Arias
