GREETINGS

  • Hi families! We hope that you are adjusting well to this new routine. If at anytime you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please remember to be careful and stay safe. 
     
    Daily Expectations: At this point your child should be working online. If you don't have access to technology, then your child should be completing work from the packet. If you have finished the initial packet then there is a new packet. You only need a new packet if you do not have access to technology.
      
    Online resources for reading are storylineonline.net, YouTube: search 2nd grade AR read alouds and MyOn on classlink.

    Time to return those packets!

    Packet drop-off times are May 20-22nd and will be from 8-6. Also- if the school loaned you a laptop, Ms. Tinson, our Computer Tech will be contacting you personally about return times.

    A list of sight words has been uploaded to our website. Someone will call each student to test them on the first list of words. 

    Also a new calendar with the upcoming assessments is being mailed to each student. It has also been uploaded under activity calendar.

    Assessments for week of 4/20/2020 and due 4/24/2020

    Reading: 
    Read/listen to a story. Tell me who the characters are, where does the story take place, and what the story is about. 

    Math: 
    Add 425 and 322
    Subtract. 377-225
    Add 364 and 278
    Subtract. 368 - 279
    Write 447 in 3 different ways. 

    Science: 
    Use a paper plate and make a STEM project. You may use other materials that you already have at home. 


    All assignments can be emailed to us or take a picture and send through Remind.

    Online Distance Learning Begins

    Look at the daily schedule for assignments. 

    Your child can read a book online through the website MyOn. It is a tab on their Classlink page.

  • Week of March 30th

    Please complete Week 1 in your distance learning packet. If you have not picked one up yet, they can be picked up in the front office. 

     

    You may contact your child's teacher through Remind or email. 

     

    During office hours, you may log into Microsoft Teams and get direct help from your child's teacher Monday- Friday.

    • 15 minutes of iReady Reading
    • 15 minutes of iReady Math
    • 20 minutes of reading 
    • Read Stories on MyOn App then take AR Tests on Renaissance - take and pass at least 2 tests per week
    • 20 minutes Lexia
    • 20 minutes of Reflex/Prodigy
    • 2 STEM activity per week
    • (Take a picture of the STEM activity and send to your teacher)
    • Complete one activity (from the activity calender)
