Registration Overview
-
We welcome you to Rickards High School. It is our goal to make registering your student and selecting courses as seamless as possible, but to do this we need your help.
Please review the information below carefully to complete your student’s registration.
To register a student you MUST be the parent or legal guardian, and live in the Rickards School Zone. If you do not live in the Rickards zone, you must be approved through Leon County School Choice. The School Choice office can be reached via their website at leonschoolchoice.com. If you are unsure if you are in the Rickards Zone, please check the Leon County Schools website for the School Zone Lookup located under the Parents and Students Tab.
Please note the following registration exceptions:
-
If your student is currently in the 8th grade and enrolled in a Leon County Middle School, Charter Charter School (Governor's, School of Arts and Sciences, or Tallahassee School of Math and Science), or Approved by School Choice, you DO NOT need to come to Rickards to register. You must provide your residency verification to your student's school before the end of June or you will not have a schedule at Rickards High School in the Fall.
-
If your student is currently enrolled in the 9th - 11th grade at a Leon County High School and you have moved into the Rickards Zone, please supply proof of residency to your student's current high school registrar by July 15, and your student will automatically be enrolled in Rickards for the fall. If you do not update prior to July 15, you will need to withdraw from your student's current school and then register at Rickards during registration hours.
-
If your student is currently enrolled in the 9th - 11th grade at a Leon County High School AND was granted School Choice Approval, you do not need to come to Rickards to register. Your student will automatically be enrolled for 2019-2020.
