    AVID, Advanvement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary through higher education that is designed to increase schoolwide learning and performance.
     
    The AVID College Readiness System (ACRS) accelerates students learning, uses research based methods of effective instruction, provides meaningful and motivational professional learning, and acts as a catalyst for systemic reform and change.

    Please note that testing season is in full swing. Please be sure to remind your child of the importance of learning everything possible to ensure success and to meet graduation requirements. Also it is important to take advantage of the extra learning opportunities by attending Saturday School, 8:00am-12:00pm.

    Parents of Seniors,

    As graduation approaches, now is the time to think about making the final decision regarding college choice. Please be sure that the Financial Aid Application is completed, begin to discuss on or off campus housing, check the housing and meal plan deposit fees, as well as tuition deposits. Have those honest discussions needed to plan and prepare for the all-important college education. Should you need any guidance, please feel free to reach out to Coach Hankerson to discuss any concerns that you may have. Thanks.

    Hello Parents,

    We are halfway through the 2nd 9 weeks and time is flying. It is imperative that our students are gaining the necessary knowledge to be successful. Please be sure to encourage your child each day to focus on what is important. Improving Writing skills, Inquiring about concepts, Collaborating with classmates to understand concepts and help each other, Organization of binders, and most of all improve Reading skills is what we are striving to do. Seniors are now researching their intended major and will present to their peers. Seniors should also search and apply for scholarshiprs. Have you had an honest discussion with your Senior about the plans after high school?
