AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary through higher education that is designed to increase school wide learning and performance.
The AVID College Readiness System (ACRS) accelerates students' learning, uses research-based methods of effective instruction, provides meaningful and motivational professional learning, and acts as a catalyst for systemic reform and change.

2023 AVID College Fair
For the 2nd consecutive year, the College Fair in partnership with Tallahassee Community College did not disappoint. Students had an opportunity to interact with several excellent institutions including:

The end of the first semester has concluded and we have had great success. Students are being accepted to college and earning scholarships. Continue to look out for more great outcomes!

Lunch & Learn
She Academy, Inc., the DeBoles Johnson Foundation, Inc., and the Rickards AVID program hosted the inaugural Lunch N Learn on September 17th. Lunch N Learn is an engaging career development luncheon for 8th- 12th grade students.
Students interacted with several business owners and service providers, stretched out their bodies with Temple Fit, Co., and went home with great tips from the speakers!
