Greetings to our James S. Rickards Family and Friends,

James S. Rickards High School Alumni Association (JSRHSAA), an organization of Rickards High graduates, parents and supporters is dedicated to collaborating, addressing and building strong relationships and positive traditions of excellence within this beautiful community. We assist current academic scholars, athletes, parents and other stakeholders in developing valuable skill sets and strategies to maintain positive connections for the betterment of the Rickards Community and beyond.

JSRHSAA will host a Hall of Fame Ceremony Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 5:00pm in the auditorium to honor selected graduates and former staff members for this year who have become positive, reputable, and highly respected individuals in the community. The 2015-16 Hall of Fame Inductees are:

• Claudette Farmer (Class of 1976), Former FAMU Women’s Basketball Coach
• Ron Galimore (Class of 1976), Former US Olympic Gymnastics Team Member
• Burgess Owens (Class of 1969) Former NFL Football Player
• Mrs. Gladys F. Caswell, Former Leon County Educator and Administrator (33 years)
• Mr. Willie Williams, Former Educator, Head Football and Track Coach
• Mr. Fred Willes, Former Educator

To honor these nominees at the Hall of Fame ceremony, we are soliciting advertisement (ad) sales or sponsorships to help with the cost of the awards and ceremony. In addition to the Hall of Fame ceremony there will also be a Football Jersey Retirement ceremony. If you or your company would like to purchase an ad, please complete the attached form and returned it to the address indicated on the form. If you would like to sponsor a specific need for the ceremony (awards, food, etc.), please contact a member of JSRHSAA (see the attached list). A sponsorship will include a free ad in this year’s Hall of Fame ad book. Your ad purchase/sponsorship will help us meet our goal of preserving and continuing a tradition of excellence, and will also link your business to a very positive, worthwhile cause that is making lasting changes in our community.

The 2016-17 Hall of Fame Inductees are all former or current professional football players who have had their jerseys retired by the Athletic department.
