Hi everyone! I look forward to getting to know all of you. Here's a little information about me!

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Education from The University of West Florida in 2002 and started teaching middle school Language Arts right after. I married my husband, Philip, in 2005, and we moved to Hawaii where he was stationed in the Army. We lived there for 4 years, and I taught high school English during our time there. After our time in Hawaii and leaving the Army, we moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State, where we both earned our Masters' degrees. In 2012, I earned my Masters' degree in English Education. We have 2 kids: Zoe is 9 and she's in 3rd grade, and Jack is 7 and he's in 1st grade. Last year we added a puppy, Teddy, to our family. He's a 1-year-old goldendoodle and is the sweetest thing.

This will be my 19th year teaching English and my 11th year at James S. Rickards High School. I am very passionate about teaching English, and I look forward to sharing that with you all.
