Hello my name is Tracy Cummings.  I was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 21, 1967. My childhood was like most children a mom, a dad, and a sister. I had a very happy supportive family, a family who was and still is there for each other. My family moved around because of  employment issues, but we found a life in Corpus Christi, Texas. This is where my life changed.

On May 16, 1986, when I was 18 years old, I met Burton Cummings. We were married October 18, 1986. We moved around because of employment issues, but we found a home in San Antonio, Texas. This is where we started a new life, our son Jonathan was born August 31, 1991. Life was great with just the three of  us, but my husband and I wanted more children. My husband’s job moved us back to Corpus Christi, Texas, where our daughter was born on July 9, 1994.

In 1995 my husband’s job moved us to Pensacola, Florida. Four years later his job moved us to Tallahassee, Florida, where we have lived since June 1999. Since my children were little it has been a dream of mine to become a teacher. 

Dream:

My dream has come true and now  I work as a teacher at the best school in Leon County. Fort Braden has always been a family oriented place and I am happy every day that I get to work at a place where I feel at home. 

Education:

When the time seemed right, I went back to school and received my Associates of Arts degree from Tallahassee Community College, in April 2006. In May 2009, I graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor’s in Arts degree in Elementary/ESE Education. In January 2013, I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Masters of Education Degree in Education Leadership.
