• Reading Essentials: Populations (1-2 days) Read the pages and answer the questions throughout. This is a fillable document so you do not need to print and write on it. You can type the answers directly into it and submit in Teams. RE Populations-fillable

• Abiotic/Biotic Scavenger Hunt (1 day) Open and view the Abiotic & Biotic Factors powerpoint to review the difference between abiotic and biotic factors. Walk around outside and make a list of as many biotic and abiotic factors you can find. Write them on the worksheet and answer the questions. • Arctic Fox Food Web (1 day) Click on the link to go to the Antarctica Marine Food Web. Read the introduction and the information on each tab. Then click on the “Food Web Game” and complete the food web. Click check answers. Keep working until you have them all correct. • Symbiotic Relationship Activity (1 day) Research and create an example of each type of symbiotic relationship (commensalism, mutualism, parasitism). You may draw pictures, cut and paste pictures from the internet, write words to show the relationships. These can be entered in the blank word document or powerpoint attached or you can take pictures of your paper. Be creative! Submit to your teacher through TEAMS under the assignment posted. Go through and look at the examples of camouflage in the powerpoint. You can also use the internet to look up some examples. Find something from around your house and camouflage (hide) it somewhere inside or outside. It needs to be visible to the naked eye. Meaning you can't put things on top of it to hide it. Take a picture of your camouflaged item and submit in the assignment in Teams. Bonus points if your teacher can’t find it in the photo! - Reading Essentials: Biological Evidence (1-2 days)

Read the information about peppered moths. Follow the directions to color the trees, lichen, and moths appropriately. You may use your pencil, colored pencils, crayons, markers, or even color it in the Paint program on a computer or mark it up on your phone. Submit your completed activity in the assignment

3. The county has provided a work packet for week 2 also. This packet is a review of the benchmarks from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. If you have not completed the Week 1 packet finish that first, then complete the Week 2 packet.

4. There are instructions on how to write on a PDF or using your phone to answer questions below. I've also created answer sheets that you can type directly into, hopefully to make it easier. These are attached to the assignments in Teams as well. If you are unable to view it online, you can pick up a printed copy at the school if you don't already have one.

Friday: How to Split a Screen

2. Split your screen between this webpage and your science class Teams page.
3. Screenshot your split screen. You can use your phone to take a picture of the screen, screenshot it from your device, or use the snipping tool on a computer.
4. Submit the screenshot through Teams in the assignment. (5pt homework/classwork grade)
