Lincoln’s Robotics Club members participate in the First Tech Challenge competition. Students get hands-on experience building, programing, and running a student-built robot. The competition consists of both autonomous and driver-controlled periods. For the 30 second autonomous portion, students program the robot using block code to move to a specific location or move an object. Following that is a 90 second driver-controlled portion where two drivers and a driving coach maneuver the robot around the course performing activities based on the current course. The club was established in 2020 and participated in a fully remote competition that year due to Covid. We are excited to be able to participate in full in-person competition this year. The club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in room 110.
