FTC Robotics Team #18699

  • Welcome to the home of Team 18699: The Purple Axolotls, our dynamic FTC Robotics team at Lincoln High School. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and teamwork. Join us as we meet every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM (subject to change as needed) to design, build, and program our robot for competition. See Ms. Boutin in room 113 for more information. Whether you're passionate about engineering, programming, or just love a good challenge, The Purple Axolotls invite you to dive into the exciting world of robotics and discover your potential!

Lincoln’s Robotics Team members participate in the First Tech Challenge competition. Students get hands-on experience building, programming, and running a student-built robot. The competition consists of both autonomous and driver-controlled periods. For the 30 second autonomous portion, students program the robot using block code to move to a specific location or move an object.  Following that is a 90 second driver-controlled portion where two drivers and a driving coach maneuver the robot around the course performing activities based on the current course. The club was established in 2020 and participated in a fully remote competition that year due to Covid. We are excited to be able to participate in full in-person competition this year. The club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in room 110.
