I am so excited to be your 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. 5th grade is such an important year and I feel privileged to be a small part of it. Reading, writing, and history can be challenging subjects...but I also think that, if you give them a chance, they can be really fun! We will analyze information, apply critical thinking skills, master the writing process, and learn to stay organized while exploring these subjects. I encourage you to stay focused, and do your best to come to class prepared to learn every single day. I am confident that we are going to have an exceptional year! 

This website serves as my classroom newsletter and should be checked weekly for updates regarding school wide and classroom events, as well as general announcements and assignments. Please pay special attention to the Tropicana Speech tab and Spelling Bee tab as they contain important information about how you can prepare for this public speaking event.
