We follow three main rules in our classroom: respect those around you, be safe, and work hard
We use the "hive five" cards and "sting" cards daily for our management plan. Students will be able to earn positive points for things such as: following the rules, helping others, participating, etc. Students do not earn points for things such as: not following directions or procedures, disrespecting, etc.
Consequences:
1.Verbal warning2.Parent Contact3.Loss of Privileges4.ReferralAcademic ExpectationsStudents are responsible for their work! If a student misses class, they will need to go to my website (Classwork 2025 page) and find the classwork that they missed that particular day. If something is not listed, they will need to collect the work in class when they return. We are training our 5th graders to be independent and prepared for 6th grade! Students should be checking their planner, checking Focus, and keeping up with their work throughout the year.Students are also sometimes provided with class time to complete missing work! If students finish their classwork early, they should be checking the "Work When You are Done Board." This board lists everything that they can be working on if they are finished. I emphasize that students should always be making good use of their class time.
