    Behavior Expectations

We follow three main rules in our classroom: respect those around you, be  safe, and work hard

We use the "hive five" cards and "sting" cards daily for our management plan. Students will be able to earn positive points for things such as: following the rules, helping others, participating, etc. Students can also lose points for things such as: not following directions or procedures, disrespecting, etc.

    Consequences:

    1.Verbal warning
    2.Parent Contact
    3.Loss of Privileges
    4.Referral

    Academic Expectations

Students are responsible for their work! If a student leaves their work at home and is not prepared for class, it is their responsibility to go to my website (assignments page) and find the work that they need to complete. If they miss class, they will need to go to my website (assignments page) and find the classwork that they missed that particular day.

We are training our 5th graders to be independent and prepared for 6th grade! Students should be checking their planner, checking Focus, and keeping up with their work throughout the year.

Students are also sometimes provided with class time to complete missing work! If students finish their classwork early, they should be checking the "Work When You are Done Board."  This board lists everything that they can be working on if they are finished. I emphasize that students should always be making good use of their class time!
