Students can access the following resources to enrich their learning outside of the classroom.

Lexia-online reading program is designed to target students' individual learning goals; it can be accessed through students' classlink

Khan Academy- this platform has many videos that discuss the topics we work on in class and it is highly beneficial for students who would like an extra challenge or quick review!

Storylineonline.com- A great read aloud resource!

SAVVAS/Realize- this is our ELA curriculum and can be accessed through classlink. Students are assigned weekly readings, quizzes, and progress check-ups through this application. Students should make sure that their dashboard is completed daily!

CommonLit- This is an excellent online Social Studies and ELA resource; students will be given their own login information in class and can access this by visiting Free Online Reading Passages and Literacy Resources (commonlit.org)

Students will be expected to type their essay for the FAST Writing exam and in order to prepare them for this, we will be utilizing edclub (typingclub.com)

    Read Works: https://www.readworks.org/

Students have access to readworks through their classlink and it is an awesome tool that can be used to enrich their reading skills!

LearningAlly: Learning Ally is an app that can be accessed on students' classlink and will read texts aloud to students! Explore the different book options available and use it to reinforce reading skills.

Writing: I encourage all students to keep a personal journal. Parents and guardians can set a timer from 5-10 minutes and students can practice freewriting at home. This improves not only their stamina, but also their confidence when writing for academic purposes! Students can begin with freewriting and work up to writing book reports, short articles/report on events happening in the community, etc. Please feel free to reach out to Ms. Centers if you would like more at-home writing prompts!
