My name is Shelley Waltz and I am SOOO excited for the opportunity to teach 7th grade math at the Deer. I grew up in the small town of Hawkinsville, Georgia. I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with an Industrial Engineering. I met my husband Tim at Georgia Tech and we have been married for 27 years. I worked for Armstrong World Industries in Macon, Georgia until becoming a stay at home Mom.  

We are blessed with three children and one grandson: Jess and Caroline, who are both alumni of Deerlake, Jordan, our daughter in law and Kasey our 3 1/2 year old grandson. Tim and I moved our family to Tallahassee in 2006. We are obviously Georgia Tech fans, but as our youngest is a Sophomore at FSU this fall and our daughter in law  graduated from FSU, we are Noles fans too! I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my grandson) preferably at the beach or on a boat, reading, trying new recipes, running, spending time with my friends, watching college football and worshiping at City Church. I am looking forward to a great year!
