IMPORTANT REQUIRED RESOURCES AVAILABLE THROUGH CLASSLINK
-
Our students make use of various online applications for completing assignments during online Distance Learning. This list of online applications is for reference, and the applications should be accessible through your child's ClassLink account.
-
ClassLink
- ClassLink provides access to most of the other applications necessary for your student to complete their grade-level assignments.
- The highest-quality digital resources we use are accessible through ClassLink and should be single-sign-on if they require an account (i.e. you shouldn’t need a separate username and password for them). If you are having trouble signing in to ClassLink, try the steps below.
- Contact Mr. Mills (millst@leonschools.net) if you still cannot get in.
- On a computer, use the Chrome browser. You will need to have the "ClassLink OneClick Extension" installed in Chrome for single-sign-on to work in some cases.
- The ClassLink icon is shown to the right, and is also located in the top right corner of each page. After clicking the icon, you can click “Login with Username and Password”. The username is StudentIDNumber@edu.leonschools.net. The password is the student’s 5-digit lunch PIN.
- On an iOS or Android tablet or phone, use the ClassLink Launchpad app. Use the same username and password listed above. Some sites (e.g. XtraMath and Lexia) work much more reliably on a computer than a tablet or phone. i-Ready requires a separate app to be downloaded in order to run on an iPad.
-
Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, etc.)
Each student has access to Microsoft's full Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and more. Students gain access by signing in with their school credentials or through the tile on ClassLink.
-
Microsoft TEAMS
Microsoft Teams is a robust cloud collaboration and classroom tool that we will use for all online distance learners! More information from your child's teacher will be available soon!
-
i-Ready
i-Ready is a daily instruction program we use at Hartsfield. It is tailored to your student’s academic needs. As long as we are in distance-learning mode, it will be accessible from home. Students should work in i-Ready on their own, but you can explain concepts to them if they get stuck. Please refrain from over-coaching or giving away the answer; it’s important that the computer can accurately track which skills a student still needs to practice and which skills they have mastered. Students may work on i-Ready for up to 40 minutes per day (20 minutes for Reading, and 20 minutes for Math).
-
Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a great resource to keep students motivated to read and ensure they are reading carefully, for good comprehension. While we are away from school, students can take AR quizzes at home. Please make sure students are quizzing completely independently. As well, it is recommended that students re-read non-fiction books 2-3 times before taking their AR quizzes. AR can be reached through the ClassLink after a student logs in.
-
ConnectED (Wonders Reading Curriculum)
ConnectEd is the online portal for our Reading Wonders curriculum, and it will (on and after April 13th) have resources assigned by your child's teacher if they are online learning. Paper copies of books and resources will be available to those without digital access.
This application is accessed through ClassLink.
-
Think Central (Go Math Curriculum)
ThinkCentral is the online portal for our Go Math curriculum. Teachers will ensure that students have assignments and resources assigned each week, including the Interactive Student Edition of our math textbook as well as Math on the Spot videos that explain math concepts. This application is accessed through ClassLink.
-
Ed Learning (Science Curriculum)
Ed Learning is the online portal for our Florida Science curriculum. Teachers will ensure that students have assignments and resources assigned each week, including the Interactive Lessons and Virtual Labs. This application is accessed through ClassLink.
-
