The Hartsfield STEMs program assigns a laptop to each student in the program to use to delve deeply into the STEMs standards. The focus of STEMs is to motivate students to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts through engaging, action-driven, and interactive challenges.
Examples of these activities include measuring a roller coaster, building a skate board ramp, making mouth-watering recipes, or traveling the globe on a concert tour. Once students experience the value of math and science in everyday life, learning becomes
relevant, real, and rewarding. Through curiosity, exploration and determination to succeed, learners grasp critical concepts, build confidence and gain valuable 21st century skills.
